Pictures of the New House, by FriendofSmiles.com

Lorelei was very happy to see her new playroom, as is shown by the enormous smile on this very dirty girls' face...now, let me show you what she was happy about. The following are pictures of the clouds, grass and flowers Prudence painted all over the room. I was unfortunately not able to get a whole room shot, or even whole wall, because the sun was too bright. But you'll get the general idea.
Pru's Clouds (So whimsical they're in hot demand here now!)

Pru's Flowers (I wish I could have gotten a shot of the whole window)

Pru's Grass (Goes all the way around the room)

Here are some shots of what we did in the girls room, with the accent wall. We basically painted it a very mustardy yellow, and then sponged over it with a dark gold color mixed with three parts glaze. I am very, very proud of this wall...and as an aside, it looks fantastic with the Monet that Cat fell in love with hanging on it. Oh...in the picture from the door, I don't know what about the lighting went wonky and made it look like my hallway is purple...it's SO not.

Here's "sticker shirt", before she got all messy, getting the feel of her new room.

Quick shot of the green sandpaint we used in Geoff's room. Candle put a lot of work into this damned half wall...lemme just warn anyone thinking of using it. The texture is VERY COOL. However. It's expensive, and the coolness to expense ratio is not very good. Try to imagine it with a border of dinosaurs, palm trees, and volcanos hanging above it - not drawn cartoonish, but more like from a 30 year old biology book or summat. It looks very neat, and Geoff is thrilled with it.

For shyts and giggles, here's a shot of the new fireplace, pre-getting settled in and placing all of my beautiful wedding momentos on the mantle. Since this picture, I have hung the GORGEOUS red glass, votive holder that was a gift from Prudence from the mantle on the left side. We have already put this bad boy to use...it's a lot of fun, but cleaning the fireplace so the house won't stink SUCKS.

This one is hard to see because of the lighting, but it's Lorelei CLEANING our bathroom with a swiffer duster. LOL! She was having a good time. The bathroom has a door facing the girls room, which Lorelei is looking out of, and a door to our bedroom, which is to the left of her in this picture.

And that's all for now...at least until I get my own digital camera, and some decent HTML skills. LOL! Yes, this page written totally in HTML, by hand, by Moi. Aren't you so happy to see I'm not as "skilled" as you thought? :o)
